Cork Has Second Highest Rate of Suicide in Ireland

It has been revealed that Cork has the second highest rate of suicide in the country.
That's according to the National Suicide Research Foundation which has revealed that in Ireland up to 800 people die by suicide each year.
Events are taking place in Cork and around the country to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Week which gets underway today.
