Cork Homeless figures continue to rise

There's 295 homeless people in Cork city and county today.
The latest figures show a 38% increase in the past year and concerns have been expressed that the figure is likely to jump again.
Lack of social housing and increased pressure on the private rental sector is being blamed as demand continues to outstrip supply.
Housing charity Theshold recently told RedFM News that Cork tenants aren't availing of rent caps and are agreeing to rents above the 4% cap as scarcity is leading to competition
