Cork infested with dangerous jellyfish

Irish water Safety has issued a warning to Cork about the Portuguese man o' war infestation which is the worst in 100 years

A warning has been issued about an infestation in Cork of extremely dangerous and venous jellyfish.

Irish Water Safety says they have been inundated with calls about the Portuguese man o' war infestation which is the worst in 100 years.

They are the most dangerous and venous jellyfish to enter Irish waters and Cork has been badly hit with sightings reported from the Old Head in Kinsale right across all the south and south west facing beaches including Inchydonney and Long Strand.   

Speaking to RedFM News John Leech from Irish Water says the Portuguese man o’war can kill and he says they will remain until the waters cool down.
