Cork Is In The Midst Of A Joyriding Epidemic

That's according to local Councillor Thomas Gould who says the number of joyriding incidents has increased sharply over the last 18 months.

The cars are stolen or bought cheaply with many of the cars then set on fire. 

One unit of Cork City Fire Brigade from Ballyvolane attended the scene of a burning car in a field in Kilbarry last night.

It was the third car that that been burnt out in Cork since Thursday.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM, local Councillor Thomas Gould says the number of cars being burned out by joyriders is on the increase:
