Cork Is Set To Benefit From An Additional €486 million For Roads
The funding will be allocated under the Capital Review Plan
Cork is set to benefit from an additional €486m allocated for roads ahead of the release of the Capital Review Plan.
The plan is expected to be unveiled next month and includes confirmation that the long awaited Cork Limerick Motorway will go to the planning and design stage.
Cork based Senator Jerry Buttimer is welcoming the confirmation of the motorway as the last link of a vital piece of infrastructure between Cork and Limerick.
The plan also includes upgrades to the N8 Dunkettle Interchange.
Speaking to RedFM News, Senator Buttimer says the provisions made in the Capital Review Plan will strengthen the region as Ireland's second city
