Cork has been issued a status yellow weather warning for tonight and tomorrow morning.

However, despite heavy rainfall expected over the weekend, The national hosepipe ban has been extended until August 31st,
Irish Water says the rain forecast for tonight won't be enough to replenish supplies after the heatwave.
The overnight restrictions in the greater Dublin area will also remain in place for the next two weeks at least.
