Cork Looses Over 500 Trees In Recent Storms
500 trees have come down across Cork in the wake of the two storms that hit the city and county in less than a week.
The Minister for Local Government says part funding will be made available to City Council to help fund the clean up operation which is continuing across Cork..
300 social houses need general maintenance in the wake of Storms Ophelia and Brian which also led to thousands of people being knocked off the power grid along with losing their water supplies along with their landline and mobile phone services
Efforts to restore power to the remaining customers, mostly in West Cork, are continuing with ESB crews still involved in the reconnection operation
Speaking to RedFM Denis Cambrige of ESB Networks says Storm Brian caused additional outages in Cork:
