Cork loses two major events

Cork has lost two festivals which were due to run in the city in the next few weeks.
Organisers of The Nightmare Realm say they have had to pull out of Cork after 7 years due to the lack of an available event space to rent and Oktberfest Beag was cancelled on Friday after operating Leeside for the last 8 years..
The organisers of Oktoberfest Beag, took to social media confirming the discontinuation of the event due to the refusal of the VFI to issue a letter of support.
However The Cork Vintners Federation issued a statement to RedFM News yesterday saying no objections were lodged in court by the VFI and said the letter of support was only sought one week before the start of the event
However Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM, Daryl Cronin the organiser of Oktoberfest Beag says he still believes that the VFI did not want the event in the city:
