Cork man details trauma of his eviction as housing crisis deteriorates

It's emerged today that the social housing waiting list report is to be published next year as the housing crisis continues to worsen.

The lack of accommodation in the private rental sector is also aggravating the situation Leeside where supply could fall even further with large numbers of landlords leaving the market amid recent tax hikes and other penalties they have incurred.

RedFM News recently learned that a new tenancy protection scheme rolled out in Cork this year has prevented over 400 families from becoming homeless

New laws are also being proposed that would see banks and receivers prevented from evicting people from buy-to-let properties if they have nowhere else to go.

However Tony who has recently been evicted from his apartment in Cork told the Neil Prendeville Show there's no help available for him in Cork and he's hit rock bottom with no where to go:
