Cork Man Extradited Back To Face Charges Of Hit And Run

A 36 year old man extradited back from the UK in connection with a hit and run in Cork has been remanded in custody.
Martin Linehan formerly of Lagan Grove in Mayfield in Cork but now with an address at Oaks Lane, Newbury Park, Essex in the UK.was charged in connection with the death of a young Frenchman three years ago.
25 year old Gabriel Lege who worked in Apple was killed while crossing the street at Georges Quay on October 31st 2013.
Martin Linehan was charged with dangerous driving causing death, driving without insurance or a valid driving licence, driving with a false insurance disc as well as driving a dangerously defective vehicle.
Judge Olann Kelleher remanded the 36 year old in custody for a week to appear again at Cork District Court on July 19th.
