Cork man in last 100 for Mars One mission

Steve Menaa, who lives in Cobh, is vying to be the only Irish person on board for the one-way journey to the red planet.
A Cork based engineer is one of the last 100 candidates for the Mars One mission.
Steve Menaa, who lives in Cobh, is vying to be the only Irish person on board for the one-way journey to the red planet.
He is the last remaining Irish candidate from an initial 200,000 people from around the world who applied.
According to the Irish Examiner, Menaa will now battle to be among the next 40 candidates, before they're whittled down to 30 and then the final 24 who will begin training for the trip to Mars.
