Cork Man moved from Intensive Care in Sydney following attack.
A Cork man who was in a coma after being attacked in Sydney a fortnight ago has been moved out of intensive care after he regained consciousness at the weekend.
Jason Cieran's family say his doctors says he is making good progress in the neurology ward but they don't yet know what his long term prognosis will be.
Jason is originally from Gurranabraher and was knocked unconscious during an assault outside a bar in the Bondi Junction area of Sydney.
A 30-year-old Argentinian man arrested at the scene has been released on bail after being charged with recklessly causing grievious bodily harm.
Jason has been fitted with a special helmet to keep the swelling on his brain down and his family say he is progressing well but slowly.
His family travelled to be by his bedside and speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show this morning his mum Stephanie says he has no recollection of the attack.
