Cork mother with ovarian cancer speaks out about the disease

A Cork mother who is battling stage four ovarian cancer says people need to listen to their bodies. Anne Herlihy from Charleville was given 12 weeks to live last September after discovering she had undiagnosed ovarian cancer for almost two years. The 51-year-old has broken her silence about what she calls the 'sneaky killer' which she says does not discriminate and every woman needs to keep an eye on their body. She's urging everyone to get a simple blood test and be aware of the symptoms which can include weight gain, bloating, indigestion, heart burn and nausea. Anne says she intends to fight the disease every step of the way but she told the Neil Prendeville Show about her fears and regrets since being diagnosed. Click the PLAY button to hear.
