Cork mum raises life-saving funds for her twins

A Douglas mother has just seven days to raise over €34,000 for life saving procedures for her 18-month old twin daughters. Audrey Murnane's little girls, Zoe and Maya, were born with a congenital airway condition that affects the trachea. Maya is also unable to eat solids. They were operated on at Crumlin Children's Hospital but no follow up care has been provided. The twins are due to be treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London next week - at a cost of €34,000 - which her mother is trying to raise. Donations can be paid into an Ulster Bank account - a/c no 19508190, sort code 98-57-55. A Facebook page has been set up - "Help Zoe & Maya". Speaking to Cork's RedFM Audrey says she feels let down by the Irish health system: (Click above for audio)
