Cork Mum to meet Health Minister with plans to discuss medicinal cannabis

A Cork Mum who is due to meet with the Health Minister next month says she hopes there will be progress on plans to legalise medicinal cannabis.
Vera Twomey has been campaigning for legislation for medicinal cannabis in a bid to manage a rare form of epilepsy her six-year-old daughter suffers from.
Ava suffers from a condition known as Dravet syndrome which can result in multiple seizures every day. Her parents say her seizures have been dramatically reduced with CBD cannabis oil.
The Health Products Regulatory Authority is also due to issue a report and speaking to RedFM News Vera says she hopes it will help to progress legislation.
