Cork mum to meet with Health Minister next week

A Cork mother is due to meet the Health Minister next week after he made direct contact with her to discuss the plight of her daughter Ava.
Vera Twomey left her Aghabullogue home yesterday morning and planned to march on the Dail to seek the immediate legislation of medicinal cannabis which helps to reduce the severity of the seizures her daughter suffers..
She took the decision to highlight Ava's case in this manner after she had a particularly violent seizure on Tuesday night
Vera had reached Mallow when Minister Simon Harris called her and promised her his full support, before organising a meeting next Wednesday ahead of a statement he's to release today on medicinal cannabis...
Speaking to RedFM News Vera says she agreed to suspend her walk but she will resume it from Mallow if he reneges on his promise.
