Cork Mum turns the spotlight on the NCT test after her daughter's death

She believes her daughter would be alive today if her car had failed the NCT test
A Cork mother believes her daughter would be alive today if her car had failed the NCT test.
Amanda O'Flaherty was killed in a crash in Cobh over three years ago and Gardai found afterwards that the car which was 18 years old, had defects in it's rear suspension and was leaking water and oil.
Amanda's Mum, Paula Murphy, had to fight for the release of the NCT report and after she examined it she attempted to take a case against the NCT, however the DPP refused saying there was no case to answer.
The case of Amanda's car was the subject of a Primetime Investigation last night into the potential pitfalls of the NCT test
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Paula says the odds were stacked against Amanda while she was driving that car
