Cork nurse named Cork Person of the Month

A Cork nurse has dedicated her Cork Person of the Month award to all the staff at CUH.
Pat McCluskey, who lives near Ballincollig, is an advanced nurse practitioner in wound care at the hospital, treating people who are ventilated due to Covid-19.
She has previously worked with charity Facing Africa, which treats people with severe disfigurments caused by diseases such as gangrene and has thirty years experience in wound care.
Her name goes forward with the other Cork Person's of the Month winners for possible selection as Cork Person of the Year.
Speaking to RedFM News, Pat says the award recognises the hard work of all staff at the hospital.
"I think this is for everybody, because everybody has worked phenomenally during this whole crisis.
"There's been a superb team - medics, housekeeping, catering, nursing, everybody.
"Really it's lovely for everybody."
