Cork parents robbed while visiting son's grave

Gardai are investigating a robbery which took place as the parents of 14-year old Micheal Murphy were grieving at his graveside in Glanworth - two days after burying their son. Micheál died last weekend after he fell from a tractor on the Glenville-Killavullen road. He was buried at St Dominic's New Cemetery in Glanworth on Monday and on Wednesday evening his heartbroken parents went to visit his grave. Their blue Volkswagen Passat was parked outside and someone smashed the driver's side window. They then grabbed a handbag that contained cash and personal items. Locals have been expressing their utter shock at the heartless act. Anyone with information is asked to contact Fermoy Garda Station on 025 82100.
