Cork Passengers Hit By Collapse Of Airline Flybe

The airline operated a twice weekly service to Cardiff from Cork since 2015
The collapse of the airline Flybe is having an immediate impact on passengers at Cork Airport this morning who had booked to fly to Cardiff with the regional airline
The British firm was only saved in January, but says the impact of coronavirus on bookings has made a "difficult situation worse" and the airline has gone into administration putting more than 2,000 jobs at risk
All flights have been cancelled with ticket holders told not to go to airports.
The airline operated a twice weekly service to Cardiff from Cork since 2015 and would have carried up to 14,000 passengers a year
Kevin Cullinane of Cork Airport told RedFM News that while the news is disappointing he expects bookings to increase on the Cork/Bristol route which serves a similar region
