Cork Penny Dinners 'Truly Grateful And Humbled' After A Couple Donated €10,000 Yesterday

The donation follows a story by RedFM News yesterday which detailed the plight of a pregnant woman who was sleeping on the floor of the charity's city centre kitchen.
In a post on Facebook, Catriona Twomey who runs the charity revealed how a young couple visited the centre yesterday and handed over a cheque for €10,000 after learning about their work with the homeless.

Cork Penny Dinners started opening its doors at night 7 weeks ago after two of their service users died on the street last year.
Dave Foley lost his house 5 years ago and now sleeps at the centre
He told RedFM News that the charity makes a huge difference to the lives of the homeless in Cork
