Cork pilot dies an hour after landing a passenger plane

It's emerged a Cork pilot lost his life after his car left the road and collided with a ditch on the main Limerick road between Charleville and Banogue just before midnight on Sunday. Gardaí say the 25-year-old who was on his way home to Mallow  collapsed at the wheel of his car an hour after landing a 72-seat passenger plane at Shannon.
