Cork primary schools among the worst hit by overcrowding

Primary schools in Cork are amongst the worst affected by overcrowding in the country Over 90% of primary pupils in the county are in classes greater than the EU average - which is classes with over 30 children. It comes as new research shows that almost one third of school pupils in Ireland - are in "supersize classes" The latest figures from the Department of Education show that class sizes in Cork , Dublin and Waterford are rising at an alarming rate.
