Cork projects awarded funding from Heritage Council

13 Cork projects have received over €65,000 euros in funding from the Heritage Council.

The announcement of the awards was made by the Minister for Heritage, Arts and the Gaeltacht - Heather Humphreys -earlier today.

The Heritage Council Grants Scheme awarded a total of 196 projects nationwide, in an effort to support the continuing conservation of Irish heritage through community based groups.

Projects in Cork include the conservation of St. Finbarres Marble Panel, the Turf Project at Bere Island, the Cork Folklore Project Memory Wall and the Cork LGBT Archive.
