Cork residents face massive Clean up after Storm Frank
Residents around the Cork region are facing a massive clean up operation in the aftermath of Storm Frank.
Cork was one of the counties hit hardest with severe flooding in Bandon, Midleton, Glanmire and Carrigtwohill.
Gardai are still advising motorists to avoid travelling through flood waters that have not yet subsided and a status Orange Weather Warning from Met Eireann remains in place.
The ESB are continuing to work to fix power outages that have affected over 3 and a half thousand homes this afternoon, and they expect to have all customers back on the grid this afternoon.
Meanwhile residents in East Cork are beginning to assess the damage as the flood waters begin to recede. Emergency Services were called to Midleton and Carrigtwohill to try to help residents protect their homes from the flooding.
