Cork Simon optimistic Action Plan will address homelessness

Cork Simon says it's optimistic that the government’s Housing Action Plan will help to address the issue of homelessness
It comes as new figures from the Department of the Environment show that the number of homeless children is up by over two-thirds since June of last year.
More than 2,200 were homeless last month with 83 of those children in Cork and Kerry
The governments 'Rebuilding Ireland' housing plan, which was published yesterday, aims to end the use of hotels and B&B's for emergency accommodation within 12 months.
The CEO of Barnardo’s Fergus Finlay says child poverty is absolutely unacceptable.
