Cork Simon releases new report to highlight challenges of Homeless

Cork Simon claims some of its' service users are being discriminated by landlords.
The homeless charity has released a new report on the challenges facing homeless people trying to find a home to coincide with Cork Simon Week.
The Home Truths report documents real life accounts of the discrimination, red tape and other barriers faced by people experiencing homelessness when trying to find a home.
Cork Simon says the average rent in Cork city last month stood at €895 which falls far short of the €550 rent supplement available for a single person in the city.
Sophie Johnston from Cork Simon told RedFM News that their service users are continuing to experience blatant and subtle discrimination from landlord.
