Cork Simon Says The Government's Rebuilding Ireland Plan Is Not Working

The charity says the Government needs to treat housing as a basic human need
It says until that happens we will always be tackling a homeless crisis in Ireland.
The number of people in Cork living in emergency accommodation has doubled in the last three years and Cork Simon says an average of 57 people a night are sleeping in their emergency shelters
Last weekend a Polish man, who was found by a passerby on Lower Oliver Plunkett Street, became the third person sleeping rough in Cork to die in the past 6 weeks.
Speaking to RedFM News, Cork Simon's Paul Sheehan says while the government is working to tackle the crisis it isn't going far enough.
