History was made in Cork South West after Fianna Fail's Margaret Murphy O'Mahony took a seat in the constituency.
it all ended on the fifth count in Clonakilty last night as Murphy O'Mahony was deemed elected along with Independent Michael Collins and Fine Gael's Jim Daly.
Just one of the outgoing TD's retained his seat, Labour's Michael McCarthy was knocked out early on in proccedings and Fine Gael's Noel Harrington lost his seat.
