Cork still an attractive place to live - despite housing crisis

Cork City Council says they are working hard to resolve the housing crisis Leeside.

It comes as figures from the CSO show more people relocate to Cork than any other urban location in the country, despite concerns about the lack of suitable housing for people who wish to live and work in the city.

The owners of Cork based company Voxpro highlighted this issue last year, when some of their overseas staff had to be housed in hostels.

As 1,000 jobs are set to come on stream in Tech Giant Apple later this year, the issue of the serious shortage of rental accommodation available for employees in Cork will be back in the spotlight.
