Cork Student given suspended sentence for dangerous driving causing death

A Cork student who pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of a mother and daughter last Christmas has been given a 3 year suspended sentence at Cork Circuit Court.
Susan Gleeson was also banned from driving for 15 years following the deaths of Geraldine and Louise Clancy on the 22nd of December 2015.
Cork farmer Noel Clancy, who lost his wife and daughter in the tragedy, was one of the first people to arrive at the scene.
At the inquest earlier this year, the coroner heard the women both drowned after the car ploughed into a flooded ditch following the collision.
