Cork student wins legal battle over cancelled college course

A class of audiology students - who were left in 'academic limbo' after their course was axed - will return to their studies next month. Diarmuid O'Connor from East Cork and Megan Munnelly took their case to the High Court after their course was cancelled due to placement funding issues... A settlement was reached in Court this afternoon, between Athlone Institute of Technology, the HSE and the body responsible for funding which allows the students continue their four year course..
