Cork taxi driver jailed for four years for failing to stay at scene of fatal crash

A 75-year-old Cork taxi driver has been jailed for four years for failing to remain at the scene of a road crash where a consultant psychiatrist was killed as he walked back to his hotel from a Christmas party.

Denis McSweeney from Pouladuff Road, Ballyphehane pleaded guilty to four charges relating to a road traffic collision which claimed the life of Dr Martin Lawloron December 15th 2018.
