A Cork TD is calling for a radical increase in nurses' pay
The comments from Solidarity TD Mick Barry come on foot of the news that the HSE's "Bring Them Home" campaign has recruited just three nurses so far this year.
The campiagn was started in 2015 with the aim of recruiting nurses back to Ireland with a €1,500 relocation payment and a further €1,500 after 12 months if they commit to stay.
The Irish Times reports that 15 nurses were recruited last year, down from 82 in 2016 and 20 in 2015.
Cork Solidarity TD Mick Barry has described the HSE's campaign as a failure and is calling for nurse's pay to be increased
