Cork TD Feels Let Down Personally By Decision Not To Hand Him A Junior Ministry

Michael Moynihan has been a TD since 1997 and served as Fianna Fáil whip in the last Dáil.
However he was overlooked by Micheál Martin yesterday, prompting him to label the move as an insult to the entire Cork Northwest community.
17 Junior Ministers will start their first day in their new jobs at Government Departments today, with many of the appointments aimed at addressing the regional imbalance in the senior Ministries.
Fianna Fail's Jim O’Callaghan and former Education Minster Joe McHugh turned down roles.
Political Correspondent Sean Defoe says there’s unrest within Fianna Fáil at the appointments, especially after Deputy Moynihan was passed over for a role:
