Cork tenancy protection service says supply in housing market needs to increase

Threshold says the numbers of families becoming homeless in Cork is worsening.
Last year Threshold's tenancy protection service received contact from 1,500 new clients, and only 16 of these clients became homeless.
New figures show a 24% rise in spending on homeless services in the south-west in 2017 with €317,000 allocated to Threshold's tenancy protection service and access housing unit.
Speaking to RedFM News Edel Conlon of Cork Threshold says the homeless and housing crisis is deepening and the funding they receive is vital to prevent the situation worsening.
