Cork To Limerick Motorway To Take A Step Forward This Week

It's hoped the highly anticipated plans for the M20 motorway between Cork and Limerick will be a step closer to reality as part of the government's 10-year capital spending plan which is to be unveiled this Wednesday.
The extent of the capital plan is expected to become known when Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe publish their summer economic statement.
An increase in capital spending is expected as for the first time in a decade there'll be a balanced budget.
The Irish Examiner reports that the 10-year-plan will be worth in excess of €20 billion, or €2 billion a year.
The County Mayor recently led a delegation where the importance of the a number of key infrastructure projects in Cork were relayed to the Transport Minister.
