Cork Trader Says The VAT Hike Has Forced Him To Reduce Staff Hours

The rate of VAT for the hospitality sector jumped from 9 to 13.5% in January
The rate of VAT rocketed from 9 - 13.5% in January and traders Leeside say they've either had to absorb the increase or pass it on to the customer
It's led to calls for the reversal of the VAT rate in the hospitality sector, particularly as Brexit looms.
