Cork Transatlantic Flights Get Green Light

Details of the first transatlantic flights from Cork Airport are imminent after US authorities sanctioned the airline’s final operational paperwork over the weekend.
The Irish Examiner reports that the application by Norwegian Air was cleared by the Federal Aviation Administration which now allows the airline to announce route details and begin selling tickets.
It's understood that everything is now in place to announce the launch of Cork’s first transatlantic routes and at this stage it's believed that the airline will announce it's Cork to Boston route first.
It's expected that the Cork-New York route will begin next year
