Cork University Hospital issue advice following HSE IT system cyber attack

The hospital's systems have been seriously impacted by the attack and are working in a very limited capacity.
The HSE confirmed today that their IT systems were the subject of a major and sophisticated cyber attack.
The Covid vaccine programme has not been affected, however the entire IT network has been shut down while the HSE deals with the situation.
CUH is asking anyone with an OPD, chemotherapy or surgery appointment to come to the hospital as normal unless they are contacted to cancel.
Patients with X-ray and radiotherapy appointments today should not attend unless they are contacted to say otherwise.
Labs are severely impacted by the outtage and only emergency blood samples will be processed.
Existing GP bloods will not be processed at this time.
Management are also reminding the public that people should only attend the ED in emergency situations and are warning that delays are likely.
