Cork water meter protestor insists she has support
A resident of a Cork housing estate has hit back at claims that she is alone in her stand against the installation of water meters. Sharon Deane has been involved in a week-long protest against the installation of water meters in Elmvale estate in Wilton - although some residents say they are in favour of the smart meters. It emerged today that a number of residents opposed to the blockade of Irish Water are annoyed at the protesters who they claim "took over" their estate with no mandate from the vast majority of an estimated 160 householders. However Elmvale resident Sharon Deane, says there are no tensions on the estate between residents and she told RedFM News that she has support on the estate in her opposition to the water meters Press PLAY button above to listen to the audio
