Cork - Zurich flights to begin in July
Flights from Cork to Zurich are taking off from July 5th.
The weekly service from SWISS follows the announcement that Air France will resume flights between Cork and Paris from July 1st.
Cork Airport and SWISS say passengers must wear face coverings in both airports and while onboard the flight.
Speaking to RedFM News, Head of Communications at Cork Airport Kevin Cullinane says the flights will provide a much needed boost for the region.
"It's a testament to the work we've been doing with SWISS over the last number of years, that they have the confidence in the Cork-Zurich route to see it restart early in July.
"It will be initially a once weekly service, but as SWISS are ramping up their network throughout Europe over the coming weeks and months, we'd be confident we can bring a significant numbers of holiday and business visitors into the south of Ireland in the weeks, months and years ahead."
