Cork's First Transatlantic Flights To Take Off This Morning

Cork's first transatlantic flights will take off this morning.

Wow Air will be flying Cork passengers to American destinations via Reykjavik.

The service will offer passengers a new opportunity to travel to the U.S and will open up connectivity to ten city destinations across North America.

Meanwhile Cork-Boston flights are set to be launched in July and it's hoped the highly anticipated flights to New York will also get the green light in the future.

Speaking to RedFM News Managing Director of Cork Airport Niall McCarthy says the New York route is largely dependent on the success of Boston flights:
