Cork's flood defences don't go far enough for insurance firms
Cork's €50 million defence plans are not enough for insurance firms who will not provide flood cover for Cork homes and businesses based on the current plans Insurance Ireland, which represents 95% of the country’s insurance market, have raised concerns about plans to use removable flood barriers in certain locations in the city instead of permanent flood defences.
