Cork's Historic Fort William House Could Be Redeveloped Into A 21-Bedroom Guest Property

The building went up in flames in December 2016

The Echo reports that planning permission has been sought to redesign the 19th century Georgian House.

The house, which is located on the grounds of the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs, would require demolition and refurbishment works if the plan is to go ahead.

Fort William House was built around 1820, and is listed as part of the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage.

A decision on the planning permission is due by October 16th.
