Cork's Involvement In First Dáil To Be Highlighted This Afternoon

An event will be held in the city centre this afternoon to commemorate the creation of the Dáil 100 years ago today

When candidates elected to Westminister refused to recognise the UK parliament and assembled a revolutionary parliament

The day is also significant in Irish History as the War of Independence broke out the same day.
