Cork's Lord Mayor Opens Up About Diagnosis
Cork's Lord Mayor says his cancer diagnosis came as a shocking blow to him and his family. John Buttimer is continuing to work and live a relatively normal life while undergoing treatment. He is encouraging people to give generously for Daffodil Day. Hundreds of volunteers are collecting in Cork today for the Irish Cancer Society's annual fundraiser. Audio: Speaking to Cork's RedFM these volunteers said that Cork people are very generous.
