Cork's Simon announce planning for 8 new apartments

Eight new apartments are being built in the city centre to house some of Cork's Homeless.
Cork Simon community have announced the development of the flats located at St. Yoachim and Anne's on Anglesea Street, and priority will be given to individuals who have been homeless for six months or more.
Long term homelessness is on the rise Leeside, with the average stay in Cork Simon's emergency shelter increasing to 46 nights.
Speaking to RedFM news Paul Sheehan from Cork Simon says this will ease pressure on the service as it will free up extra beds in the facility:
