Council agrees to fix Shandon Clock

There's been a broad welcome to the news that the City Council is to repair the Shandon Clock.. The clock stopped working about nine months ago and despite the issue being raised with the City Council it remained out of action The move comes after the Neil Prendeville Show here on RedFM launched a campaign to raise 40,000 euro to fund the repairs, as the Council said it didn't have the cash available until next year However in the past hour the Council confirmed that finance will be put in place to repair the Shandon Clock and it's about to award a contract for repair to the iconic symbol known world-wide. Speaking to RedFM News Neil Prendeville says he's delighted with the outcome and believes it wouldn't have happened without people power
