County Councillors Clear The Way for A €100 Million Retail Village On The N25

The Irish Examiner reports that Councillors have voted to change Council policy.

The motion faced some opposition from several councillors who expressed fears about the impact the centre will have on other retailers in the region.

It's estimated the development at Killacloyne just off the Fota Junction on the N25 could create up to 850 jobs and would attract 220,000 visitors to East Cork every year.
